Content creator

A content creator is somebody that generates an ephemeral or tangible creative product. The product can be a song, a book, an article, a DVD, a drawing, a photograph, a 3D model, or any other result of the creative process.

Often the content creator and the content owner are the same person or group of people. However, some content can be created as a work-for-hire, meaning that the content creator assigns all ownership to somebody other than themselves. It is a subtle difference, but explains why sometimes artists don't continue to get royalties for the things that they create.
