Legal Status of Electronic Signatures

From DBWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Your signature is your name enclosed in slash characters, for example:

/John Doe/

This signature is legally binding because you may not sign for anything claiming ownership of a digital work until you have verified your identity with a credit card. You must also enter your website password to complete the electronic signature. Having these two pieces of information allow us to verify your identity. Digital signatures of this nature are just as binding as a physical signature.
