Media information specifically identifies a piece of digital material created by a person, group of people, or other creative entity.

All information can be described. If someone were to ask you to describe a song, you would probably start by naming the artist that performs the song, the genre that of song, the emotion conveyed by the song and how the song sounds. Other information can be associated with this song as well, such as artist royalties, licensing information, length, publisher and the copyright owner. This information is refered to as media info on Bitmunk. Examples of media info include the description and royalties associated with songs, spoken audio, audio albums, literature, audio books, pictures, comic books, television episodes, and movies.

When media info is paired with a digital file on Bitmunk, it is called a digital work.
