The Payee Reason is a way to remind yourself why you added that specific payee to the royalties for your work. For instance, if you add a charity account as a payee because you want 10 cents of each sale to go to the charity, but want to remind yourself to remove the charity after the collection time is over, you can describe the payee as "Homeless Children Charity Fund, September 2004 to June 2005."
