Ware

A ware is a single item for sale on Bitmunk. It contains one or more digital works and has a price associated with it.

For example: The Beatles - Penny Lane in MP3 format for $0.89 is a ware. If a seller on Bitmunk wanted to sell The Beatles - Penny Lane they would have to associate the media info for that song with an audio file, such as an MP3 of the performance, and optionally include a monetary amount that they would like to receive for providing the song. Once they associate the media info with the file, it is called a digital work. Once they associate the digital work with a price and offer it for sale on Bitmunk, it is called a ware. An MP3 recording of The Beatles - Penny Lane for $0.89 is a different ware from a FLAC recoding of The Beatles - Penny Lane for $0.89.
